The world-at-large began to learn about Dr. Simeons hCG diet when he first published “Pounds & Inches – A New Approach to Obesity” in 1967. This talented endocrinologist, A.T.W. Simeons, M.D., who passed away in 1970, was born in London in 1900 and educated in Germany at the University of Heidelberg. He traveled to India in 1930, where he first began studying a puzzling disorder in young teen boys that was attributed to the pituitary gland, causing extreme obesity. It was during this scientific investigation, he discovered hCG – or human chorionic gonadotropin, and began to administer it in low dosages to these boys, while restricting them to a very low calorie diet. Needless to say, the results were more than effective, and Dr. Simeons was quoted as saying: “I have always held (the belief) that overeating is the result of a disorder, not its cause.”
Following his 20 years in India, Dr. Simeons set up his hCG practice – the Weight Loss Cure Protocol at the Salvator Mutidi International Hospital in Rome. Physicians–and the wealthy patrons–came from around the globe to study – and receive – this protocol under the watchful eye of the talented Simeons, who had identified three types of Fats: 1. Structural – around joints, organs, brain and skin 2. Normal Reserve – found throughout the entire body, and 3. Abnormal – the “problem areas” – in woman – the hips, thighs, buttocks, waist and stomach, and back fat. The first #2 kinds of fats, Structural and Normal Reserve never get out of balance, however the 3rd Abnormal Fat is the stored, locked away fat that is released when using hCG, beginning on day three of the protocol.
Dr. Simeons had success managing hundreds of patients with weight-loss success, meticulously creating the protocol that we adhere to today at Beauty and the Beast Now.
What exactly is hCG?
The full name of hCG is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It has been studied for over 60 years. These studies have proven real weight loss results with the use of the actual Human Hormone, hCG. This hormone is naturally produced by the placenta in pregnant women and almost completely controls the metabolic function through the hypothalamus throughout a female’s pregnancy. Contrary to popular belief however, the hCG used in the hCG diet protocols is a variation of the hCG form used for fertility treatments, and in a much smaller dose. All hCG used for medical purposes is natural, but created in laboratories from sterile cells.
It is NO longer extracted from women or animal urine – a common misconception.
It is the only real hormone that has long lasting effects with weight loss. It does this by resetting the hypothalamic gland. This gland controls when and where the body stores fat. All other diets used, including synthetically made hCG, have a starvation effect on the hypothalamic gland causing the body to store fat more rapidly.
FDA POSITION (DECEMBER 6, 2011): HOMEOPATHIC & OVER THE COUNTER HCG MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET!
The FDA News Alert stated that all over-the-counter (OTC) or Homeopathic HCG should be removed from the market. “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) today (Dec 06, 2011) issued seven Warning Letters to companies marketing over-the counter (OTC) HCG products that are labeled as “homeopathic” for weight loss.
Their statement also explained: Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone produced from the human placenta and found in the urine of pregnant women. HCG is FDA-approved as an injectable prescription drug for the treatment of some cases of female infertility and other medical conditions. There are no FDA-approved program for weight loss. HCG use by injection of Pharmaceutical HCG has not been tested by the FDA so they cannot have a position other than saying using HCG for weight loss has not approved by the FDA..
How HCG Works
There are three kinds of fat documented in the body: Reserve Fat, Structural Fat and Stored Fat. Reserve fat is stored evenly throughout the entire body and available for instant energy and use. The Structural Fat is used to keep the skin plump, provides cushion between the organs and extremely important for brain health. These two never get out of control in the body. It’s only the Stored Fat that gets locked away and only accessible with severe dieting over a period of 3-4 weeks before it’s accessed and released. However, hCG accesses the Stored Fat on Day 3.
The hCG hormone causes the abnormal fat cells in the body to release up to 3500 calories a day which is what is needed to support the normal growth pattern of a living fetus. When used as a dietary supplement the person’s body lives off that same 3500 calories of energy, combined with an additional 500 calories of highly nutritious, yet low caloric foods, are then eaten to provide the dieter with adequate nutrition. It is possible to lose on average of 1 to 3 pounds per day which is equivalent to 3500 calories. Women should not compare or compete when it comes to Men’s weight-loss. Men have a higher muscle percentage and do quite amazing on this protocol when it comes to daily weight-loss.
