About Dr. Simeons

The world-at-large began to learn about Dr. Simeons hCG diet when he first published “Pounds & Inches – A New Approach to Obesity” in 1967. This talented endocrinologist, A.T.W. Simeons, M.D., who passed away in 1970, was born in London in 1900 and educated in Germany at the University of Heidelberg. He traveled to India in 1930, where he first began studying a puzzling disorder in young teen boys that was attributed to the pituitary gland, causing extreme obesity.  It was during this scientific investigation, he discovered hCG – or human chorionic gonadotropin, and began to administer it in low dosages to these boys, while restricting them to a very low calorie diet. Needless to say, the results were more than effective, and Dr. Simeons was quoted as saying: “I have always held (the belief) that overeating is the result of a disorder, not its cause.”

Double Blind Study – hCG

Following his 20 years in India, Dr. Simeons set up his hCG practice – the Weight Loss Cure Protocol at the Salvator Mutidi International Hospital in Rome. Physicians–and the wealthy patrons–came from around the globe to study – and receive – this protocol under the watchful eye of the talented Simeons, who had identified three types of Fats: 1. Structural – around joints, organs, brain and skin  2. Normal Reserve – found throughout the entire body, and 3. Abnormal – the “problem areas” – in woman – the hips, thighs, buttocks, waist and stomach, and back fat. The first #2 kinds of fats, Structural and Normal Reserve never get out of balance, however the 3rd Abnormal Fat is the stored, locked away fat that is released when using hCG, beginning on day three of the protocol.

What Is hCG?

It is a natural substance produced in the human body during the early stages of pregnancy, and is available by prescription only, either injected or taken orally. Much research, reporting and information is available on hCG, and the Weight Loss Cure Protocol, and the diet has been featured on both Oprah and Dr. Oz.
